Laughter Boss workshops are designed to share the core principles and playful, evidence-based techniques from our Laughter Care program
Laughter Boss workshops are designed to share the core principles and playful, evidence-based techniques from our Laughter Care program, helping to bring connection, joy, and laughter to people living with dementia or experiencing social isolation. Humour has well-documented therapeutic benefits—lowering stress, easing anxiety, reducing pain, improving mood, and creating warm, positive environments.
The workshop equips aged care staff with practical skills to build meaningful connections with residents. Through hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations, and guided practice, participants learn how to use humour and playfulness to spark engagement, build trust, and bring warmth into everyday care interactions.
Grounded in evidence-based research, participants also explore the psychological and physical benefits of laughter, including reduced stress, decreased anxiety, improved mood, and more positive, supportive environments for residents and staff alike.
Every technique shared is focused on strengthening connection between staff and residents, ensuring that the learning translates directly into more compassionate, person-centered care.
Ultimately, Laughter Boss training supports both residents’ and staff wellbeing. Participants leave with practical skills, renewed confidence, and a deeper understanding of how intentional play and humour can transform the culture of care—making aged care a more joyful place for everyone.
