Further InformationMapping to the new Aged Care Act Standards
Laughter Care supports the delivery of outcomes of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards by addressing 5 of the 7 standards and embedding person-centred, relationship-based care into practice. Through individualised engagement, the program enhances residents’ dignity, wellbeing, social connection and sense of identity, while also reducing stress and responsive behaviours. By working closely with staff, it strengthens care delivery and contributes to a more inclusive and connected residential community, supported by a skilled workforce and a strong focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement.
