Clown Doctors On Tour 2025: Bringing Laughter to Regional Hospitals
In October 2025, Clown Doctors Australia travelled through the Hunter and New England regions, bringing laughter, comfort, and connection to children, families, and hospital staff. Supported by Hyundai Help for Kids, the tour reached regional communities where moments of joy can make a powerful difference.
Bringing Laughter to Regional families
Over six days, our wonderful Clown Doctors Dr Toot, Dr Squish, Dr Nose-Nothing and Dr Nose-Best visited hospitals and clinics in Maitland, Tamworth, Armidale, and Taree. They spent time in paediatric wards, emergency departments, outpatient clinics, and waiting areas, engaging with 110 children, 166 family members and carers, and 105 hospital staff.
Each stop brought memorable moments. In Tamworth, Clown Doctors supported children through long hospital stays and clinic visits, including one young patient who felt brave enough to return for surgery knowing the Clown Doctors would be there afterwards. At the CPMD Clinic, entire families joined in play, easing the stress of long waits and complex appointments.
“We’ve had the Clown Doctors, visiting us at The Outpatients Clinic and we absolutely love the vibe they bring! Just the way they brighten the kids up, even the adults. Lots of laughs, lots of fun. In Armidale, laughter bridged language barriers as a family with limited English shared more than half an hour of joyful play together. In Taree, balloon games, music, and bubbles transformed anxious hospital rooms into spaces filled with smiles, drawing in patients, families, and staff alike.
“Sometimes a lot of what we do in here isn’t the most pleasant thing, and it can be a bit intimidating… and the Clown Doctors were distracting the children from all of that. All of the bubbles, the fun, it’s been an absolute pleasure, so thank you.” – Celia, Registered Nurse, Armidale Hospital.
The tour also strengthened community connections through local Hyundai dealership involvement, allowing supporters to see first hand the impact of their generosity.
Clown Doctors On Tour 2025 perfectly demonstrated how serious we are about our silliness; because we know that laughter isn’t a distraction from care, it is a vital part of it.
